I write fiction; take an activist interest in politics and culture; support humanist scholarship through my  information technology work at UC Berkeley & Project Bamboo; and practice Tai Chi Ch’uan.

Consequence is my most recently-completed novel. A work of literary/commercial crossover fiction, Consequence is in search of a publisher while I scribble my way through a new, still untitled project.

About Consequence

San Francisco activist Chris Kamin receives anonymized e-mail recruiting him to write a screed against Frankenfood. He doesn’t tell his closest friends or the teenage boy they co-parent at The Triangle, their home and political collective. Hungry to change a world indifferent to slogans, signs, and marches, Chris and his house-comrades prepare to hang a massive banner on the Bay Bridge in protest against biotech farming. On the bridge, an enraged driver attacks one of their own with a tire iron, wrecking the non-violent action. When Chris’ manifesto is used to justify a truck bomb launched into the heart of genetically-modified corn country, arrest rips him from friends and family.

Inquiries from interested agents, publishers, and readers are welcome. In the meantime, I publish a couple times a week on Blogspot, at One Finger Typing, and look forward to seeing your comments on the posts that catch your fancy.
